The Punto de Vista (Point of View) Navarra International Documentary Film Festival has become a space that celebrates, discovers and reviews those films labelled with the umbrella term "documentary".
The Festival is open to all non-fiction audiovisual formats –author documentary films, creative documentary films, experimental documentary films, essay films, journalism films, or works made from household, recycled or waste materials.
One of the Festival’s goals is to encourage reflection on reality.
It has an Official Section in which documentary films shot in any country can participate.
The Festival awards official and special prizes. One of them is the Punto de Vista Grand Prize for Best Film, worth 9,000 euros, and the Jean Vigo Prize for Best Director, worth 5,000 euros.
The third edition of the Festival took place in february 2008.
