"Pablo Sarasate" International Violin Competition

Yuki Manuel Janke (Germany), winner of the 9th "Pablo Sarasate" International Violin Competition

The Pablo Sarasate International Violin Competition is a programme in honour of the great violinist from Pamplona. The competition is basically targeted at raising both his profile, as an exceptional musician on the world stage, and that of Navarre itself. The Russian Vladimir Spivakov is President of the Jury. His rigorous standards and the high technical level of participants in the competition have enabled the contest to be included in the World Federation of Music Competitions, which has Its headquarters in Geneva.

The Pablo Sarasate International Violin Competition is open to violinists under 27 years of age from all over the world. It awards a First Prize of 10,000 euros, as well as other prizes between 1,800 and 7,000 euros and various study grants.
