This kind of intervention is aimed at fostering the knowledge of the current global interdependence situation and of the causes and effects of development. Its goal is to encourage positive attitudes and values in connection with international relations as well as citizen commitment.

Navarra’s Own Actions

Navarra International Award to Solidarity

The Government of Navarra and the Navarra Regional Directorate of Caja Laboral organise the annual Navarra International Award to Solidarity , aimed at raising awareness on the importance of volunteer work for underprivileged social groups in poor countries.

Solidarity Promotion Programme among the Young

The programme "Come, Get Involved, Tell Us" "Come, Get Involved, Tell Us" was established in cooperation with the Navarra Institute of Youth to encourage solidarity by giving Navarra’s youngsters the chance to take part in development NGOs projects for underprivileged groups in poor countries. The programme’s announcement now includes the possibility to attend CID field courses, providing practical training in project cycle management.

Awareness-Raising Actions

This actions are intended to give the Navarra society a better picture of the problems affecting developing countries. They can be information campaigns or services, support to fair trade or responsible consumption initiatives, exhibitions, design of teaching material, and the like.

Education for Development Projects

This instrument fosters educational processes favouring a better understanding of the problems affecting developing countries, a positive attitude towards them, and values like solidarity and active cooperation. These processes can be inscribed in formal or informal education contexts.
