Laura Alba Cuadrado

Laura Alba Cuadrado.

She was born in Madrid the 9th of July 1971. She is married and has two children.

She has a degree in Marketing and she has also studied Commercial Management and Communication. At present, she is studying Political Science.

She carried out marketing tasks in private companies between 1994 and 1996, when she set up the communication agency called Apunto S.L., in which she took part both as an associate member and as business director, while working as a teacher of Marketing and Business Creation at Inasfor S.A. In 1997 she leaves these activities aside because she is appointed manager of the Association of Businesswomen and Women Directors of Navarre; and she will leave this post in October 1999, when she will become the Marketing director of Bla, Bla Comunicacion Interactiva S.A. Finally, in 2001 she creates the company e-Learning Channel S.L. and one year later she starts working, simultaneously, at Rotalmo XXI S.L, while she keeps working as commercial director for the former company.

Between 2001 and 2003 she was president of the Association of Businesswomen and Women Directors of Navarre, and also president of the Executive Committee of the Association of Businessmen of Navarre (ABN), becoming the first woman to occupy a post in this directive organ inside this business association. She was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Navarre between 2001 and 2004 and councillor at Corporacion CAN from 2004.

In April 2003 she left the private business in order to become a member of the Parliament of the Foral Community of Navarre by Navarre People’s Union (UPN), where she was also president of the Commission of Public Works, Transport and Communications, and spokesman of the Commission of Industry, Commerce, Employment and Technology.

In August 2007, Laura Alba was appointed councillor of Public Works, Transport and Communications of the Government of Navarre.
