Begoña Sanzberro Iturriria.
Born in Almandoz (Baztan) the 11th of september 1962, she is married and has four children.
She has a degree in Professional Training, Computers and Accounting. In 1990 she started her career in the sector of cattle, with her own exploitation in her native town, where she is working at present with pigs and cows for meat production. She was a member of the Permanent Commission of the rural union UAGN between 1999 and 2003.
She was Mayor of her home town during 1990 and 1991 and councillor at the City Council of Valle de Baztan during the legislatures 1991-1995 and 2003-2007. She was also a member of the Parliament of the Foral Community during the legislature 2003-2007 for Navarre People’s Union (UPN).
Since August 2007 she is councillor of Rural Development and Environment of the Government of Navarre and she has become the first member of the Government of Navarre that is a native speaker of Basque.
